Upcoming Bible Study in Ruth
Preparing for the bible study on the book of Ruth, God has revealed to me once again His incredible love for His people.
The individuals we see Him perform the unimaginable in are usually people the world look at as outcast, downtrodden, rejected, or in last place.
Once again in Ruth we see our loving God take lives that are seemingly hopeless and He redeems them through His great love.
This study will take place on Sunday nights. Our Sunday nights have become a favorite time for me in my life.
The intimacy and laid back atmosphere allows us to be real as we sit as a family and connect through God's word.
We have just finished up the book of Thessalonians, and I am looking forward to opening God's word again together with people
who are hungering and thirsty for truth.
When I find myself, or hear of someone in a place where times are tough and the light at the end of the tunnel can't be seen,
it is books like Ruth that help me to refocus my GAZE on God and what He is doing, and not the circumstances that surround me or someone else.
The struggle doesn't leave, but the right perspective is regained and the mountain is never too large for Him to lead me out of the valley and
onto the summit.
In the book of Ruth, God took four people, rejected where they were, and amazingly weaves them into an incredible work of His creation and
plan for man. Who are the Characters? Ruth of course, Naomi her mother-in-law, Boaz, and one significant person not mentioned in the book, Rahab.
Max Lucado writes in his introduction to this book, "We see here four frayed pieces of yarn in the bottom of the weaver's basket.
They are waiting to be discarded by the owner. Instead, he weaves them neatly together to be incredibly useful."
Isn't that just like our God! When we feel like life has brought us to the place where we are no longer useful, God lovingly makes
something out of nothing in our lives. Come connect and grow with us through the book of Ruth with us on Sunday Nights!
